Matching Grants
Color Oklahoma will provide up to $1,500 for the purchase of native wildflower seeds on approved sites. We will assist with the whole process, including site and seed selection. We will order seeds and arrange for free sowing by the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority (OTA) or Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT). The minimum match amount for the grant is $250 for a $250 match from Color Oklahoma or $500 in seeds planted in your designated location. The funding amounts beyond the $250 match are: $500 from the applicant for a $1,000 match from Color Oklahoma or $1,000 from the applicant for a $1,500 match from Color Oklahoma. For instance, if the applicant provides $1,000, Color Oklahoma will provide $1,500 for a total of $2,500 in seeds planted.
Funding for the grant comes from Color Oklahoma wildflower plates. When a plate is purchased or renewed with the Oklahoma Tax Commission, $20 goes to the Color Oklahoma project.
