February 10, 2025 — Bristow Garden Club volunteers this fall and winter hand cast native wildflower seeds along historic park trails to help bring them back to life. One focus was along the path of the annual Wildflower Run, a 5k race held the second weekend in May for the past 36 years. Residents had noticed a decline of wildflowers along the course.
The beautification project was made possible by a matching grant from Color Oklahoma. Sown were seeds for pink evening primrose, Mexican hat, purple coneflower, plains coreopsis and black-eyed susan.
